Answer

apples shennanigans generally operate from the point of view of the ipod. an ipod can be associated with up to computers. a computer can be associated different ipods double check on that in their help threads, but i dont think it matters in this case. your ipod will establish your computer with it as its first computer. all your itunes music can go on your new ipod. brbrnow, if you had an ipod with a bunch of music on it and wanted to add it to a new computer, it would erase the ipod, im pretty sure. so youd first want to make sure all the music was backed up before you added it to another computer. if your ipod is ever homeless say all computers associated with it are dead you will want to get the music off of it. for this you can use software like thisbrhttpwww.bootstrapdevelopment.comShowabrbrthats just an fyi for the future.brbrthe answer to your question should be pretty obviously yes. i mean, they want you to buy one, right? in fact they want you to buy a shuffle, and an itouch and an iphone! brbralso, if your music is backed up you shouldnt worry too much. get cdrs and back up! i just lost my library when my new macbook crashed. ugh!
